I recently filed the FAFSA and the comments part said....?
"The Social Security Administration did not confirm that you are a U.S. citizen. You must provide your school with documentation of your citizenship status before you can receive federal student aid." I don't know why. I am a US citizen, although I was born in Poland and became a citizen when I was 9. Could this be the case? What am I or my parents supposed to do now?

I bet you checked the wrong box in the citizenship question on the FAFSA. You should have checked "U.S. Citizen". Check your FAFSA results (the SAR).

That may be way. It is a simple fix. The school will need you to fax in your social security card and another ID, your license is best. This could put a hold up on your financial aid, so to save yourself and your school a hassle, fax that information into your financial aid adviser as soon as possible and they will continue processing your aid.
