Does the Poznan University of Medical Sciences look at SAT scores (I am a student from America)?

Does the Poznan University of Medical Sciences look at SAT scores (I am a student from America)?
I am applying to the school in POLAND right now but they are asking for SAT scores. I am not sure if they look at them since it is another country and it doesnt say anything on their website like they are required. I need to know ASAP, my sat scores don't come in till next week ALSO if you go to POZNAN UNIVERSITY FOR THE 6 YEAR MEDICINE PROGRAM can you describe to me how is it like ( country, classes hard or easy, easy to make friends, people, etc) ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED

Hey! Im in the 1st year of 6 year M.D - came all the way from Canada :) Being my 2nd month in - its pretty good I have to say. I highly doubt you need your SAT scores - Many kids came from Canadian highschools or were in the middle of univeristy and just switched to med school. All you need is your highschool marks for Chem, Bio, Physics and English. In terms of Poznan - Its pretty sick I have to say. Parties every weekend - always something to do. Classes are actualy Ok. Iv been told by older students that if you just keep up and Dont fall behind you will do fine. The only class thats really a b*tch is Biophysics, lol Im pretty sure %80 percent of my program cringe when they go to that class. My program now is about 70 people and its split into around 5 groups for seminars and labs - so around like 15 appx students per group so its pretty good - Making friends is a peice of cake, especially if you are on dorm - just be friendly and everyone is out making friends like you are so that wont be a problem.. however it is very clique-ish in school...almost reminds me of highschool but in the end...were all in school to be doctors and everyone is on the same page. When you apply - U are probably going to have your interview in NY - I actually flew to Poznan for my interview just so I can see the school and city but I heard from my friends they actually ask chem questions and biology questions on your interview to see where u stand at - my interview in Poland was more of an interview to see why I want to be a doctor and why in Poland and all that. Many kids are from the states tho..TONS and also many from Norway. There very chills but they stick to there groups of norweigians but they do party well :) Many kids from NY, Chicago, California (the M.D degree just got recognized there and a bunch are applying now I hear, probably your year) and also from Florida...and of course tons of Canadians. Bottom line - I know its only my first couple months in the 6 year program - but deffinatly a fun school to go to for medicine...Dont forget, just because you go to medical school doesnt mean you cant go out - U just need to control your school and partying. Good thing is with our school is you can always double up on classes and you can get out for christmas break a week or 2 earlier.. Couple friends in D.D.S (dentistry) are getting nearly a month off because there class reps arranged time with profs to double up on classes but its worth it. School buildings are very nice - old and antique but coming from a nice highschool that has wifi - this is deffinatly a downgrade, but bearing in mind you are in Poland - its a very old city with lots of history and those buildings go waayyy back - Its just enjoying the heritage and the amazing arcitect in school. If you dont speak polish dont worry - You are on the same page with MANY students who know ZERO polish and you have polish class..and trust me...it actually helps. ANYWAYYSS - I know i wrote a long crazy answer but I hope I helped you a bit. I remember a year ago I was also freaking out but being here in Poland and finally in med school and studying...its a rewarding feeling, especially getting that letter saying you are accepted into medical school - I still keep it. best country to go to to be an exchange student in europe?
i put down france then the netherlands then belgium but im want to have a place with culture that is pretty different grom america they dont have italy, spain, portugal and some other places they do have: poland, denmark, germany, the netherland, france, belgium and i might be forgetting one i would love to go to italy but cant so i think the next best place would be france is france really different? or should i pick somewhere else i also want to learn french because i think it would be the most usefull of languages please keep in mind i dont want south america because that is where i am from and no asian countries although i would love to go in the future

There is no absolute best place for everyone. It really depends on what your interests are. Any of the countires you listed could be great experiences for you. Choose the place that most interests you - they will all be sufficiently different from what you're used to that you can see, do, and learn a lot.

France is quite American now. They have a lot of Mcdonalds (the second apart from the US) They have many different things, the little villages are quite different and can be nice but Paris etc... is usually full of tourists. The UK is a good place to go, you don't need to learn another language, it's different and we are all friendly BabyGoBoomBoom

what does this question have to do with fashion and accessories? Do you speak or are u wanting to learn a different language. My advice would be to go to that country so that you can practice and learn

oo do the netherlands, then there is a good chance youll end up in scandinavia at some point and that whole area, netherlands included is just epic

Here are you options in order of least like America to most like America: Poland, (least like America) Netherlands & Denmark (more or less equal "unlke America" score) France Belgium Germany (most like America but still not America, I wouldn't mind living there or being reborn there).

Spain isn't good (been there many times). Its full of English tourists and tacky resorts no matter where you go. Your not missing much. Italy is gorgeous. Everyone is so nice and friendly, the towns and cities are beautiful. I went to Sorrento and loved it, which really only rubs it in your face as you can't go, but get there one day!! :P France is gorgeous from what I've heard. Just work like crazy on your French before you get there. They don't mind bad French, but they do mind not even making an effort to speak French. I would imagine Belgium to be very different to America.. France and Belgium I'd say would be pretty similar to each other. Poland is very different too, but its a very hard language.My friends went there and said it was interesting, but not very 'beautiful' like say France would be. I'd like to go there one day Germany would have also been a good one, as its a pretty easy language and would be really different to America. I'd put that down instead of Belgium or the Netherlands. I think you've picked good ones though

google all the different places and read about them and decide which one you think would be more fun to be in.

First of all, it depends what you like more in a country. I think every country in Europe has it's qualities and it's disadvantages. It also depends from the exchange association. Going through one organization in one country doesn't mean that you will have the same benefits as going through another (the same applies for parts of the same country). Ok, by my opinion, you shouldn't be focused to developed countries. I think you can discover more about Europe if you go to one of the not so famous destinations. Although in a developed country you will have an organized way of living through the services provided by the country, the other countries compensate with the warmth of the people and an open mind to take you to interesting destinations. The same applies to towns and cities. In a city you will have a bunch of activities that you can choose from, so mostly people go to different places and they don't get to close to each other (I am talking of the group that will be in your exchange program). But in a town there will be a bundle of activities and you will mostly share your time with the bunch of people in your exchange program. That will make you closer. I speak from my experience. If you are thinking about a developed country I would say Germany, Netherlands. If you choose these destinations, keep in mind that you always have low fare plane tickets that you can book early and go to the opposite part of Europe (like Italy for instance :) ). If you choose an alternative tourism, embrace yourself for an amazing experience. You will meet one of the best organized people that will take you to parties and places every weekend. Of course that you can organize a trip on your own. In these countries usually your money will "worth" more (you could buy more stuff with the same amount that you bring from home, also the services are cheaper). My experience was through the IAESTE organization. If you have the option you can go to Macedonia (the Former Yugoslav Republic of), or Poland would be a nice destination. Hope this helped!

So, your Top 3 = France, the Netherlands, Belgium. I live in Belgium ^^. Just in between your 2 favorite countries and in your third favorite. 'Is France really different from South-America?' I haven't really had any experience with South-America yet... But personally I think that France is a fantastic country. The people are friendly and as you mentioned; the language is indeed very useful. In Belgium there are 3 communities: one of them is French-speaking. I live in the Dutch-speaking community but I got French lessons at school since I was 10 years old. So I pretty much know how to speak it (I'm a lot better in it than in English ). And French is a quite important language... Since I can't compare South-America with Fr, Be or the Nl. I'm going to compare the 3 countries mutual. France is a little more the southern way of life. (We'll do it, but we can still do it tomorrow.) The people are nice and everything is 'typical'. Personally, I really like it. I like the Netherlands less because generally speaking they're quite loud people, party type... I don't want to insult anyone, this is just my opinion and how I got to know them a couple of times. Then, euhm, Belgium. Yes, we're usually a little more polite. We have a really small country. Our education is one of the best in the world (unfortunately for me: that means that I have to work hard for school ^^) . We don't have a lot of place left to build in our country (in France you can drive a couple of hours without seeing anyone). Belgium is the country of the chocolate and the waffles. (No intention to bribe you) That's about it, I guess. I would say that the country, the closest to your expectations is indeed France. Afterwards I would consider Belgium. Because the people ('the nation') isn't that different, I think. Good luck choosing. x

cheap flight tickets for US college student backpack in Europe?
i am planning to back from New York to Europe in summer 2008. I heard about Eastjet and Ryanair. Is it really the price shown online? I always see 10 euro from Spain to UK from ryanair.com. Is there any surchange over those prices? I just have a backpack and,,maybe a handcarry.And, can I book the ticket with USA credit card? I will fly from NY to Amsterdam first. My destinations on my plan are Finland, Poland, Belguim, Norway, ,,and I hope that I could take the ferry from Spain to Morocco. But all destinations above are subject to change for the flight tickets.

When it comes to low cost airlines, you have to be very careful when it comes to prices. I flew with Easyjet and Germanwings and they had a surcharge on the first price they show you. But still, it's cheaper then flying with regular companies. Once you decide for a flight they show you all the additional charges and give you the final amount you have to pay. They take most of the credit cards and I think it doesn't matter where the credit card was issued. The baggage: hand baggage 5 kilos and checked baggage is one piece of luggage up to 20 kilos. yesss do france (: my best friend had a french exchange student live in america here with her this summer, and it was really different for him. so i think france would be really different for us, and it seems like such a nice place ... like he was so cute. he wore oxfords with the sleeves rolled up everday with matching colored toms shoes and khaki shorts (: their lifestyle is so different i tihnk thats a great choice.

awww darn it, before i read your description i was already planning to say "ITALY!!!!!!" i went there this summer and it was amazing, my favorite country in europe by far! france was really fun, but other than italy spain was my second favorite country, then its france =D have fun wherever you go!

Questions about People to People Student Ambassador?

Questions about People to People Student Ambassador?
This is my second year being offered to go on a People to People trip. I wasnt able to go on the first trip offered due to personal reasons. But this time if accepted i will be traveling to Russia, Germany, Lithuania, Latvia, Czech Republic and Poland. i was wondering if anyone could tell me about this trip or any others? Is it worth my time? Is the interview/getting accepted part hard? Are good teacher and personal recommendations a big part of being accepted? and any fundraising ideas if i'm accepted because this trip is almost $6,000 and i will have to pay with little to no help from my parents.

I didn't go on that trip, but I'm sure it would be worth it. The interview is not hard at all. They are just trying to get to know you. I'm not sure how much the interview and recommendations affect your chances of being accepted. I've never met anybody that wasn't accepted. and you can get a part-time job to raise money. have garage sales, have people sponsor you, or you can get a loan through people to people.
