Who would help a disabled 36 year old student from Poland, who comes as an exchange student to finish his Masters Degree. Where can I find in Worcester institutions helping the disabled?

Try your local United Way & Health and Human Services....They can help and direct you to help you are in need of......Good Luck !
2 :
Check with your college. They should have a disability services office and a foreign exchange student office - both which should help.

See if there is an Independent Living Center in Worcester, MA. That may be your best chance. Second choice may to try the United Way if there is one in the area. It is hard to find people who will do that sort of work for $8 an hour (and do a good job, along with being safe for you), let alone one who will do it for free. Especially if you need someone on a regular basis. You can also see if Poland has an agreement with the United States Social Security Administration as far as transferring any benefits you get in Poland to the United States system. I doubt it will help, but it is worth a shot. Most programs require you to be eligible for the State's Medicaid program, and those services would be covered under the "Medicaid Waiver Program", but since you are not a citizen, odds are you would not qualify for MassCare which I believe is the MA State Medicaid program. Hope this helps, there are no easy answers, but private organizations such as an Independent Living Center or the United Way MAY be your best shot, but even there I do not expect you to have too much luck. But "nothing ventured, nothing gained". Take Care, Robbie
