I want to move back to Canada. I'm a CND citizen in Poland?
Hi, I was born in Ottawa, but when I was 6 y.o. my family returned to Poland. I'm 18 now and I still feel more Canadian than Polish. I would love to return. What should I do to have an easy landing? I have no family or friends in Canada. Can the government help me? I'm a student.

I have no idea how your government works but, to give you an idea. The U.S. born in the U.S. you'll always be a U.S. citizen, it can never be taken away from you. So, if the Canadian Government is the same, go to the nearest Embassy and tell them your plight.

If you have Canadian citizenship, they shouldn't have any problem with returning there. As for having an easy landing: make sure of living arrangements ahead of time (a shared house if need be and if they do that sort of thing over there) and if possible, try and secure a (part-time?) job - there's a few sites for that online. I don't know about scholarships in Canada, so you might want to look into that if you want to continue studying. Alternative option: complete your studies first, then move to Canada OR go live there, work for a while and save up for your studies. Whichever of these you choose, good luck!

if you're a citizen and you have a canadian passport, there isn't a thing they can do to stop you. if you're a citizen *without* a passport, go on your polish passport and make sure you take the papers you need to apply for one. surely you have a birth certificate? maybe don't bother telling them what you're doing at customs and just act like a tourist, but if they do give you a hassle, just explain. especially if you speak fluent english. it should be okay. if you're a citizen, you have a right to be in canada. as for making friends and a life there, you're probably on your own, but there are job agencies and all kinds of things to help you get yourself sorted out.
