They will hunt you to the grave, man..............find a way to make arrangements, or your credit will be ruined. You don't have to have the $6K NOW, but they will make a suitable arrangement with you where your credit rating will remain intact.
2 :
If you don't pay, it will ruin your credit regardless of where you are living. Pay what you can pay and do your best. In this day in time, credit card companies will threaten you, but in the end they will work with you if you make an attempt to pay off the debt. At least make the attempt.

As long as you move to Poland and never return to the USA, you have nothing to worry about because credit cards have to abide by US rules and Poland, as a EU member state, cannot litigate claims made by a US bank. The banks could win judgment against you but that would apply only to the US - not Poland nor anywhere else for that matter. There are no treaties regarding collection of foreign debts. So enjoy....

Not really a way to resolve it but a way to prevent it in the future:use debit cards. That's the best way to save yourself from overspending. For now, save your money, sell some of your stuff since you're moving, and only buy stuff you absolutely need. Like food, drink, laundry, bills you need, and lay off the beer, video games, and stop shopping until you get back to Poland.Good luck with that.

I'm not sure exactly how much it cost to live in Krakow, but it's a popular city and will probably similar in cost. The polish money is about 3 zloty for one dollar. However, studying in poland costs less. =)
2 :
Small apartment close to the center costs about 1000 PLN per month. Standard food may cost you about 300 PLN a month. Big Mac in McDonald's costs 8.70 PLN, one beer is 2.50 PLN in a market or 7 PLN in a pub. Staying in a student's hostel may cost less than 400 PLN a month, but in this place you share the kitchen, the bathroom, and usually also the bedroom with other people. Inform me if you need to know any other prices. Currently €1 = 3,91 PLN.

Searching for my birth parents in Poland?
Quick background: I was placed in a orphanage in Warsaw Poland when i was around 18 months- my mom would come to visit. All i have is her name and birthdate, i just have my father's name. I just want to know how i can get some information about them? I'm a college student so places where i don't have to pay would be awesome. Any information would be greatly appreciated... 10 to the best. I've tried facebook and myspace and the polish versions.

I really don't know, but what I would do is to find out if the ophanage still exists and contact them directly. Or maybe you can contact the agency that placed you for adoption. I am not sure how the law in Poland works regarding adoptions. But good place to start would be the orphanage. Hope you find your family.
